Best Western Astor Hotel, Makati Ave
We were suppose to stay in our Condo in Boni but due to unforeseen circumstances, Sha and I were forced to check in a hotel. We were already in the budget terminal of Changi when we booked this hotel. It was the cheapest hotel we were able to find in Makati that's rated as 3 stars.
When we arrived at the hotel, we went to the front desk. I forgot the front desk personnel who checked us in but she was nice, friendly and accommodating. The bellboy was also nice and courteous. When we got into our room, it was much nicer compared to Makati Palace Hotel. It's newer I think. In our 5 day stay, we didn't have any problem with any of the staff.
The bad points came in when we where checking out. The front desk personnel named Jacq was the one who attended us. When she confirmed our bill, she said we consumed 7 items in the mini bar. I told her we didn't. She asked if I can confirm it with my companion. Though I already know Sha didn't consume anything, I still asked him infront of Jacq. Of course, Sha said no. So Jacq told us that she'll have the housekeeper recheck again but this time, she has a suspiciously look on her face. Hay. The housekeeper again said that we did consume those 7 items. Ayayay! So I told her again that we didn't and that I wouldn't pay those items. So what else can Jacq do. She billed us without those 7 items then we left.
Oh well. It was supposed to be a nice stay but that last day ruined it. This should not be happening. There's something missing in their checklist. If they don't solve this issue in their process, they will definitely lose their clients.
Actually, before this incident, one of Sha's friend told us that we should have stayed in City Garden Hotel because the staff is friendlier and the hotel much nicer. Then when we left for Best Western and rode a taxi and Sha and I were discussing the bill issue, the taxi driver, of course, overheard us and told us that it's much nicer to stay in City Garden and that the personnel in Best Western Hotel are "masungit"(I don't know the exact english term for masungit. Not friendly I guess).
Maybe, it's only Jaqc that's masungit and because of her, the whole hotel is affected.


beranski...i stumbled into this while checking ur new pics...anyway, y dont u contact their customer service and complain? they should re-imburse you for the amount that they billed for those items u never consumed...u shouldve argued! naku kng ako yan aawayin ko hahahahaha =P anyway hope to see you soon...sana magkasabay tayo na asa pinas =) take care!
