How you doing?

Picture_001_1If you're a Friends Fanatic, you know that I got the title from Joey Tribbiani (did I spell it right?).

Anyway, how am I doing?

It's been a year since Sha and I moved here in Singapore.  We've just moved in to our 2nd home in Geylang because we need a place nearer to the airport where Sha works.  We are currently renting a condo with two other housemates.  The condo is ok but what I like most is the pool.  I get to swim again.  It's been years since I did laps.  Last night, I was able to do 8 laps of breast strokes.  It was fun.  I didn't know I still have it.  I thought sitting for 12 hours in the office for the past years got the best of my physique.  Hehe.  It's time to get back in shape.  Going back to the condo, I also like the master's bedroom.  It's big enough to do anything there.   It's a good thing that we bought the tv in our old home in Clementi.  At least Sha and I can watch the TV in peace, without thinking of the other two housemates.

For our second year, there are no big plans.  Sha and I just need to continue to save and pay the bills in Manila.  I have to pay something for 3 years, and this is year number 1.  I'm planning to cramp that 3 years to 2 years so Sha and I really need to save, save, save.  It's possible but of course, our budget should be followed. =)  Applying for permanent residence here is also in our conversation once in a while but it's still 70/30 for me... 70 percent to not applying.  What's stopping me is the NS thing.  The rule here is if you have a male child, he is obliged to join the National Service once he turned 18.  I think joining my child to the national service is such a big decision and as such, I don't want this decision to be made without him.   I think it's not fair for him.

For the third year, I don't know what will happen.  ***crossing my fingers***
